MEMBERS ATTEND IAFF PEER SUPPORT TRAINING
Your Cherry Hill Fire Department Professional Firefighters are proud to announce that Lt. Rob Luft (Cherry Hill Fire Officers IAFF Local 3198); Fire Prevention Specialist Mark Scian and FF/EMT (Retired) Frank DeLucca (Cherry Hill Firefighters IAFF Local 2663); and EMT Alexis Homan (Camden County IAFF Local 3249) successfully completed the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Peer Support Training in January 2026.
This training gives members the necessary knowledge and skills to support their peers, have a basic understanding of common behavioral health issues affecting fire and EMS services, serve as a bridge to community resources or behavioral health treatment when indicated, and build or enhance their peer support programs.
The CHFD now has approximately 15 active and retired members trained in peer support who serve on the Cherry Hill Fire Department's "CHFD One" and/or the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey's (PFANJ) Peer Support Teams.
